Day 2

The trip from Wagga to Mildura took seven hours as expected, including a one hour lunch / walk around stop at Hay, which is the halfway point on the trip. The main feature on the journey is the featureless 'Hay Plain'

The main advantage of the flat terrain was being able to drive at a higher than legal speed, as the were no police or radar cameras.

After checking into our motel, we spent an enjoyable time wandering around the 'restaurant precinct' and then relaxing with some suitable refreshments and a great meal at the Mildura Brewery. This boutique brewery, bar and restaurant is located in the refurbished and modernised Art Deco Astor Cinema.
