Some of the following photos will give you an idea of what's inside. Note the very high ceilings, which together with the stone and brick construction mean that the temperature stays fairly mild. The first photo shows the hallway

The second bedroom is on the left of the hallway - we have been using it to store our luggage
The original cottage would have had an outside laundry and toilet up near the back lane way, but the owners have added these 'modern' conveniences as a rear extension.
Enjoying the blog, looks like a great adventure so far. Small request, tomorrow's entry to include Dad doing something really silly (or illegal even better) :)
